After a long hard week of moving into our new place, we stopped at Sakana. First things first, do not let the exterior fool you - the interior has such a cute, neutral, clean and foresty vibe. It is warm and inviting and even the music that is playing is pleasant. On a Thursday evening we were sat almost immediately and our serve was at the table within minutes taking our food order. Our server was Jared and he was absolutely delightful! He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, anticipated our asks and for the one small mistake that did happen (our daughter's tuna roll had wasabi on it - it comes that way and we didn't know) he was very quick to have it adjusted and so kind. Now onto the food: We ordered: - Pork Gyoza 5/5 - Spicy Miso Ramen 3.5/5 - Spicy Tuna Rolls 3/5 - Crunch Spicy Tuna Roll 4/5 - Tuna Roll 5/5 The Pork Gyoza is just as everyone says, amazingly delicious and cooked to perfection. It had the perfect balance of flavor. The broth of the Spicy Miso Ramen was delicious, we have been searching for a good spicy ramen, and while the broth on this one met our expectations, the other additions (egg and bok choy, pork and noodles) did not retain the flavor well. The spicy tuna was not spicy at all, I almost thought to ask if we had accidentally received the regular tuna. However, it was extremely fresh and still had good flavor. The crunchy spicy tuna had a bit more flavor, not so much spice, but flavorful in its additions. Lastly - the tuna roll, again very fresh, but it served with wasabi if you do not ask for it off - not my cup of tea, but could be excellent for the target audience. For all of this we spent less than $100 including drinks. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would come back for the service alone.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday and we were able to get a table right away. We got the dragon roll California roll and a specialty roll plus Unagi Nigri. Everything was tasty. The service was really good. Prices were OK and restaurant had nice decor. Good sushi if you're nearby but nothing to travel for.

I've been to this place twice now and had really good experiences! I've never had the sushi here, but I love going to this spot for Japanese comfort food. Entrées are $11-$17, so it's a great place to have a nice dinner without breaking the bank. I would recommend coming early since the restaurant is small and tends to fill up quickly. The appetizers are great, most notable are chicken karage, takoyaki, and gyoza. I absolutely love the Ramen here! The broth is flavorful and noodles are never overcooked. You can tell they put a lot of love into their Ramen! The curry beef bowl is rich in flavor and so hearty. To make it more filling, I'd recommend adding a cutlet because it's mostly curry sauce over rice. They offer competitive pricing for drinks as well. You can get sake for $4-$7 and large Japanese beer for $7. They have wine, but I don't believe they serve cocktails here. Overall, a lovely tucked-away spot where food is made with a lot of love!
